Ribbit Capital Leads Cybersecurity Startup, Coalition in Raising $40M in Funding

Today, cybersecurity startup, Coalition announced that it has received over $40 million in its most recent round of funding. The success of this funding was due in part to investments lead by Ribbit Capital. Hillhouse Capital and Greenoaks Capital also contributed significant investments in the company’s Series B round of funding.

Coalition was launched in 2017 by founders John Hering and Joshua Motta. The company aims to provide businesses with free tools to help more efficiently manage cyber risks. It boasts up to $10M of insurance coverage to protect its clients from instances like, data breeches, fraud and cyber terrorism. In 2018, Coalition was honored as one of the most fastest growing 250 fintech companies by CB Insights. It is also globally recognized as being one of the industry’s newest unicorn startups.

Ribbit Capital is a worldwide venture capital  firm that invests in early stage companies. The firm was founded in 2012 by Meyer Malka. Ribbit Capital’s goal is to transform the world of finance by investing in the financial industry’s most innovative solutions.
