I not only had my identity stolen, I lost my business, lost all my money (declared bankruptcy), tarnished my 800 FICO score, lost my houses, my car, and my freedom (yes, I ended up in jail). My adventure is one of those stories that you might see happening in a suspenseful book or movie. Unless you spend your entire day monitoring your identity, you cannot accomplish what an identity theft protection agency can do with their monitoring technology. These companies go through millions of data points that scour the internet searching for identity thieves trying to cause malicious harm to people. A person trying to do that on their own is virtually impossible.

  1. Any guru, safety tips for online entrepreneurs?

A safety tip for anyone online, not just entrepreneurs is being careful of what you post on social media. Don’t talk about personal information that people can use to steal your identity – ie. date of birth, address, phone number, etc.

A good rule of thumb about social media is this: don’t post anything that you would be uncomfortable to share with a stranger.

Our future goal at is to spread awareness. We want to educate as many people as possible to avoid becoming another statistic. I don’t ever want anyone to go through the misery of what I went through.
