Infiniti Creative is an innovative event planning company that brings magic to its clients most special days. In this Q and A session, I had the chance to chat with the dynamic duo behind it all.
- Q: You both have been a part of the entertainment industry for nearly 20 years. Give us a brief background of who you are and what inspired you to start Infiniti Creative.
A: Both Ted and Kat started in the business as performers. Kat was a choreographer and dancer and choreographed for the Miami Heat Dancers, countless corporate industrials as well as TV and Film. Ted is what they call a triple threat- singer, actor, dancer and has had an amazingly successful career performing in corporate industrials as well as touring with Broadway shows including the first National Tour of Aida. Kat started with another production company and helped that company grow from a very small company to a very successful business so when she got laid off during the recession, it was the perfect impetus for Ted and Kat to start their own company.
- Q: What sorts of services does your company provide?
A: Looking at the backgrounds for Kat and Ted it only makes sense that Infiniti Creative specializes in incredible entertainment. However, Infiniti can, and does, really handle any and all production needs for anything from large scale corporate and public events, to Galas and fundraisers, to private social events and everything in between.
- Q: What are the most important elements to planning a great event?
A: We always start with a roadmap that starts at the end. What is the ultimate GOAL for the client and what is it that will make the event a success in the end. Once we have that information we start putting the elements together and make sure that what we create is an EXPERIENCE that will create memories forever- we are in the business of EXPERIENTIAL ENTERTAINMENT.
- Q: Is social media important to your business? If so, how do you use it on a routine basis?
A: Is there any business out there that does NOT consider social media important? We use it all the time- there is no better way to explain our business than to do it in photos and video content. What we do is so exciting and fun and people love to follow us just to see what we are up to.
- Q: If you have one, can you share which event was your most favorite, and why?
A: We do the New Years Eve event for the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and it is an amazing event for so many reasons. First of all we LOVE the client- they “get” what we do and that just makes for a great and successful team. It is a bigger show with about 2,000 guests and with that much energy in the room it is always a blast. We have approximately 50 dancers, plus aerialists, acrobats, stilt walkers, models, drummers, choreographers, make-up artists, an incredible DJ and about 25 production crew – so we have a blast coming up with innovative and explosive entertainment to make this a night one of a kind. Lastly- we love what we do- so what better way to start the year than doing what you love with a great team?
- Q: In your opinion, what has been your key to success in such a highly competitive industry?
A: That is a tough question. I think our entire industry has come a long way over the past decade and we have learned so much from all of the events we’ve done and the wonderful people we get to work with. Besides a very solid business aspect of our company from great planning, logistics, organization and follow through, we just have a great fun-loving, can-do attitude and energy that all of our associates exude that just makes people want to work with us again and again and again.
- Q: What’s the most rewarding part about what you do?
A: I love that what we do for the most part is live. So it is instant gratification. The moment the event is over and a client comes over to me to tell me, “That is the best meeting/conference/event we have ever done” is so fulfilling, or one of my favorites is, “That was amazing – how are we ever going to top that next year?” That just gives us the validation that all of our hard work is worth it.
