Plum, the AI Money Management App Has Raised $3M More and Comes to Android

Plum is a UK based AI assistant which aids you to manage your money and even to save more of it. Recently Plum has raised an amount of $3 million fund and with this money, it wants to expand the growth including the expansion across the Europe. Interestingly, it has quietly started its impressive apps for the Android phones by adding the iOS app and the Facebook Messenger chatbot. It has brought the fintech startup’s a total funding of $9.3 million from being founded by the early TransferWise employee named Victor Trokoudes as well as Alex Michael during 2016. This new investment can be at the end of the year after a quick expansion for the Plum in both places – Athens and London, and it will grow to 311 employees. The seniors including Max Mawby, the Head of the Behavioural Science of the Plum are hiring more employees.

Trokoudes told the TechCrunch that the taking up for the iOS app for the Plum had been quite high and the Android was also following similar trajectory and that was a proof which the AI assistant of the startup had probably outgrown the chatbook and the Facebook Messenger starting. He has also said that the Plum had 650,000 registered users among which over 70% were active per month.

Besides, when the users stick to use the Plum for longer time, Trokoudes along his team become very surprised and delighted that it can really work. The artificial intelligence of Plum allow what one can afford to save the money by analyzing the bank transactions.
