Goodlord is a London prop-tech startup that offers cloud-based software. The aim of this startup is to aid the landlords, estate agents and the tenants to manage the rental process. Goodlord has now achieved a promising turnaround after it fell into a difficult situation two years ago. From that time, the company established a new chief executive officer and CTO and raised more funding. Goodlord, today, has announced its next milestone, which is £10 million in Series B funding.
They will receive the financial backup from the Fintech Capital. It led to the previous round of the startup. Another new investor is Oxx Capital is also participating in this round. Oxx Capital is a recently outed SaaS-concentrated venture capital company, which is founded by Mikael Johnsson and Richard Anton.
Goodlord has said that it will continue using the additional capital to spend in customer-facing, product and engineering teams. Despite the layoffs in 2018, the company extended from 47 to 97 employees. At present, there is a number of open positions.
It was first founded in 2014, and unlike the other startups, the software of Goodlord is planned to support all the stakeholders. Those stakeholders also include traditional higher street letting agents and landlords, and surely, tenants. The SaaS activates, letting the agents modernize the moving in the process by utilizing e-signatures. On the other hand, tenants will get benefits from the tenant dashboard.
The CEO of Goodlord William Reeve co-founded the LoveFilm. He was a founding director of Zoopla as well. He disclosed that he agreed to step into the role on a temporary basis to steady the ship.
