Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia’s space agencies, on Saturday, accused the SpaceX because of its price for space launches, which is pushing the Russian’s space agencies to cut down the prices.
Dmitry Rogozin wrote on Twitter that in lieu of honest competition in the market for the space launches, the SpaceX was lobbying for approval against them and utilized price dumping with freedom. Rogozin often explicit on Twitter and formerly he was engaged in the online chitchat with Elon Musk. On Friday, he raised this issue during a meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the meeting, he said that the Roscomos space agency has to work to lower prices by 30% on the launch services to enhance their share on the international markets, and that was their answer to dumping by the American companies. He also said that the market price of a SpaceX launch is around $60 million, but NASA pays them up to four times higher than that amount.
On the other hand, Elon Musk, on Saturday, responded to the criticism of Dmitry Rogozin by writing on his twitter that the rockets of SpaceX are 80% reusable, while the Russian’s were 0%, and that was the main problem.
SpaceX plans to send its astronauts to International Space Station to the following month. It is for the first time onboard Falcon 9. It is a rocket, which can be reused by reducing the cost of missions. Last month, Musk also declared the Crew Dragon of the SpaceX capsules would begin transporting to the ISS following year.
