Detectify is a Sweden born cybersecurity startup company which offers a website sensitivity scanner powered by crowd. Detectify has raised an amount of €21 million in their further funding. According to them the new funding is going to be used to continue to hire the top-class talent to accelerate the growth of the company and to deliver on their mission to decrease the vulnerabilities of internet security.
Detectify was first founded in 2013 by a group of elite hackers from the Sweden, and the company is now offering a tool for the security of the website which uses automation to scan the websites for the vulnerabilities to aid the customers to stay secured. The Co-Founder and CEO of the Detectify Rickard Carlsson told that the company had made a fantastic progress in the past 12 months which included building out the crowdsourcing part of the proposition to enhance the number of recognized vulnerabilities. He also said that Modules from the crowdsourcing hackers had generated 110,000 plus vulnerabilities in their customer base, and the community is 2.5 times larger than before.
Last year, in 2018, Detectify expanded the client base across the United States, and now they count the most influential software firms like Spotify, King and Trello as their customers. The partner of Balderton Capital named James Wise in a statement said that Detectify brought together the ultimate power of the human ingenuity and also the immense scalability of software to provide a top-class service security for every person. That was fundamentally newer approach to protect the businesses from cyber security threats. He added that they see Detectify as a part of newer wave of solutions to create the web much safer for everybody.
