The UK-based food delivery service, Deliveroo, has extended their delivery orders by proposing the users a pick-up option which is called “Pickup”. It is an alternative way to pay the delivery fees and to wait for the lunch to arrive. Their new service named “click & collection” in now live for more than 700 eateries across the entire cities of UK including Aberdeen, Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds, London, Milton Keynes, Manchester, Norwich, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Nottingham. The restaurants brands also signed up in the 1st wave including the Byron, Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, TGI Friday’s, Coast to Coast, Frankie & Benny’s Chiquito and also Giraffe.
Deliveroo is expecting the pickup service to expand quickly by supposing over 10,000 restaurants will be offering within the following 12 months throughout 200 UK restaurants in which they are now operating. They also say that the pickup option is aimed to broaden the choice of the customers which cheaper option for the users who are willing to take a meal. At the same time this entire process is an excellent way for them to increase their growth for the restaurants which are now signed up to the current service.
The starting of the pickup option is the most recent addition to the suite of b2b offerings and the Deliveroo serves up for the signed up eateries. These include a better service for food procurement like savings of energy as well as money. Deliveroo is now expecting a sharp growth for their business by signing up more 10000 restaurants in the UK.
