As hinted before by the Hollywood executive Jeffery Katzenberg, Quibi, which is basically the short form of a mobile-only video service has officially launched its service on the last Monday.
Quibi had set a sky-high expectation for people with the announcement of original star-studded contents. Besides, funding of about $1.75 billion has fired up that expectation even more. This almost unsurmountable expectation could be impossible for Quibi to cope with as it has already divided hosts into different groups of the Original Content podcast.
Many don’t deem so optimistic, while others claim to saw some potential in Quibi and to admire Quibis’s ambition. The latter group also thinks that there really is a promise and people should expect the lineup of shows. The reality programs, for instance, Punk’d and “Chrissy’s Court” are seeming can benefit from the little boundary of short episode format.
The show also has some very interesting scripted titles though some say that this type of title, which has already gained popularity like Liam Hemsworth’s “Most Dangerous Game,” is all set for a bigger screen with more run time.
Some critics say that they have enjoyed many of the content of the show though they also doubt the possibility of the whole industry. They think the entire enterprise is an enormous folly. They have suggested Quibi take a casual approach to length and to launch the app to other devices.
“The shot has been made,” said one reviewer “Now we see if it can hit the narrow target called successful or lost in giant the chaos.”
