22 Years Old Founder Made a Billion-dollar Business in 3 Years

Alexandr Wang, a 22 years old boy is the Founder and CEO of Scale AI which is an investment and innovation hub that focus on accelerating the application of artificial intelligence (AI). Scale AI was founded in 2016. It is a data platform that delivers training data to companies like Google’s Waymo, Airbnb and Lyft to super-charge their self-driving efforts.

The startup had made them one of the latest Unicorn breakouts of Silicon Valley’s and also had grabbed a $1 billion in their fund in August 2019. Scale AI now has 35 positions open across its marketing, operations and technical teams.

Scale AI is a co-invested innovation hub with the government funding as well as a private sector. Scale AI has collected an investment of $230 Million from the Government of Canada $53.4 Million from the Government of Quebec. Its vision is to connect the industries and researchers to build Canada as global AI development hub.

Alexandr Wang was recruited by Addepar, as a software engineer before he left the college. He dropped out MIT to pursue Scale AI, though he didn’t have a full scaled idea. But within this 3 year he has made the company valued a $1 billion. According to wang AI and machine learning as a field has just grown so quickly, that it’s appropriate to raise this amount that would allow them to capitalize on their ambitions. Alexandr has shown that, the best way to build something meaningful is to get started as soon as possible.
