Jason Vanclef

Finances are an incredibly important component of our everyday lives. They enable us to pursue our passions and fund our businesses. Unfortunately, many Americans struggle with finances. Jason Vanclef understands this and decided to help those who needed financial guidance.

Jason started The Vanclef Financial group to help people face financial challenges. His team has enabled many individuals to invest in things that will potentially stabilize their retirement dreams. His services have been extended to individuals from all different walks of life. However, Jason didn’t always start out as the financial professional that he is today.

Jason originally started out working in the criminal justice system. Though there was some satisfaction of helping others, he wanted to build people up in different ways. He would soon leave the field and begin providing financial services to individuals and businesses soon after. He would create the Vanclef Financial Group in 2002 and the rest is history. Jason has been an independent advisor ever since and is looking to expand his business model.

Regardless of Jason’s business expansion, the one thing that he will always put his focus towards is quality. Jason continues to provide investment products and services that are of the highest quality. This foundational principle is what draws people towards him. Jason joins us today for an interview that will help us understand how he made it to this point in his career.

How did you get involved in the financial industry?

I was working in the criminal justice industry and wanted a change of scenery and frankly unlimited upside potential. I was always good with finances and would constantly help my peers with their financial troubles. It felt like a calling at the time that couldn’t be ignored.

Did you ever doubt your business idea?

It originally started whenever I was helping my peers out with their financial troubles. A lot of them said that I should go into business with this and help other people with their struggles. I figured this would be a good idea to do since it came naturally to me. One thing led to another, and I began to seek out clients to help with their financial future.

Did you have a mentor?

I did not have a mentor at the time. I didn’t have the resources that many financial experts had. However, I feel like this helped me grow even more as an expert. I had to learn everything the hard way. They say that self-taught professionals are the hardest working ones. They have to rely on themselves and no one else. I like to identify with this idea.

Do you have any regrets about your career choices?

I feel the worst thing a person can do is regret something. We must all learn from our mistakes in the past. I would like to think that all events leading up to now have made me who I am. I am incredibly thankful for the experiences.

Which business leaders do you admire most?

I was a big admirer of Steve Jobs. I modeled a lot of my way of thinking after his principle of “thinking outside the box.” He was such a creative individual who didn’t like conventional ways of thinking. He was such a huge inspiration to me.

What does the future hold for your company?

We are looking to expand our business into different areas. We have been experiencing steady growth and want to capitalize on this at the moment. Stay tuned!

What is the most important aspect of your brand?

Being honest. I have always believed that honesty is one of the most important factors of any business. Honesty is an important component that draws people to your company. This makes them want to work with you and for you. Being seedy on the outside will only repel people from the services that you provide.

What motivates you?

Helping people makes me feel good about myself. I want to constantly improve my skills so that I can better assist people with their financial needs. Knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s life out there is truly motivating.

How do you unwind?

I’m a tennis junkie and try to play seven days a week. A great sport to take out stress by whacking the daylights out of a tennis ball.

Do you have any advice for our readers?

Never waste any time. We only have so much time in our lives to do the things we love. Jump in the deep end and pursue what you were meant to do.
