A: I am the Chief Executive Officer of Vivier & Co, a boutique financial services firm offering private digital banking solutions to its clients worldwide. Outside of Vivier he serves as the Non-executive Chairman of Nikau Global an international trade development company, as a Partner/Director of Palmetto Global Ventures a bespoke financial management consultancy based in South Carolina, and is an invited member of Massachusetts non-profit The YEC. 1. Q: What inspired you to want to become an entrepreneur?

A: I’ve always viewed entrepreneurship as a vehicle for creating opportunities for development as well as economic empowerment, which is why I have dedicated so much of my professional career to the pursuit of such diverse and global entrepreneurial endeavors.

  1. Q: You have a new book out (awesome!). Please tell us more about that.

A: “The Digital Banking Revolution” shares my inside perspective on how financial technology companies are rapidly transforming the traditional retail banking industry through disruptive innovation. In the book I provide a look at how over the past decade financial service innovations have contributed to a completely new way in which customers are able to bank, threatening the status quo of traditional retail banks, and redefining a banking model which has been in place for generations.

  1. Q: What inspired you to want to become an author?

A: As an author, I can educate and inform people all over the world about the important and ongoing changes currently occurring at an astonishing rate with FinTech companies. By sharing my expertise with others in this way, I can outline potential opportunities for growth in the banking and financial services industry.

  1. Q: You are what some might call a “serial entrepreneur”. How do you balance your business life with your personal life?

A: Although my status as a serial entrepreneur places substantial demands on my time, I always take great care to regularly spend time away from my professional responsibilities. Through the time spent with family and friends, whether it is taking an extended vacation or simply sharing a meal together, I can maintain a clear sense of balance while ensuring I am consistently attentive to all of my varied responsibilities.

  1. Q: Best advice you’ve ever received?

A: To always seek input from others to aide you in reaching the best possible decision for your business/start-up. This is due to entrepreneurship for the most part being about taking calculated risks and you will always create better strategies if more facts and information go into the decision-making process.

  1. Q: Best advice you’ve ever given?

A: Take the time to step away every so often even if it is a 30-minute walk and you will be pleasantly surprised as to what you can think through or of while being disconnected from work.
