Read our interview with Michael Rojek, founder of startup Husaria Marketing and how he started his agency as an American ex-pat in Poland.

  1. Tell us about yourself.

My name is Michael Rojek. I grew up in Honolulu, HI and attended the University of Hawaii where i graduated with a B.A. in Management from the Shidler School of Business. I then moved to Krakow, Poland where i attended Jagiellonian University and graduated with an M.A. in European Studies. I began working for a local software developer and worked my way up. Having been in charge of English-language sales and global digital marketing initiatives, i was able to rapidly gain expertise and deliver impressive growth in both revenue and visibility.

  1. Now you struck out on your own?

Yes. After 4 years at the company, my possibilities for advancement had ceased. As this was a small company, there was no chance to rise further. I decided to turn my knowledge and expertise into a business, took my assistant with me, and founded Husaria Marketing on June 1, 2017.

  1. What is Husaria Marketing?

Husaria Marketing is a bespoke digital marketing agency that is based in Krakow, Poland. We offer digital marketing services to clients of all sizes, and work to tailor each plan to their individual needs and budget.

  1. What sets you apart from the rest of the digital marketing agencies out there?

Expertise, professionalism and exclusivity. Firstly, our staff consists entirely of M.A. graduates with experience in digital marketing and a wide range of industries. Apart from B2B software, we also have expertise in commercial construction, retail, cosmetics, and fashion. Our professionalism is made visibile in every aspect of the work we produce. English content is written and proofed by native English speakers, we generate monthly reports of progress, and offer complete transparency in what we do. Finally, we offer exclusivity that other agencies simply cannot. Our policy is not to exceed a 2:1 ratio of clients to staff, while other agencies can have 10s or even 100s of clients per staff member.

  1. What does the future hold?

The future looks bright. With two clients on board after only two weeks, and continuous requests for services, we are only limited by our size and the number of hours in a day. Part of the reason for this success is our offer to do a client’s first marketing project for free. This way we can demonstrate our knowledge and both clients and Husaria Marketing can determine if this is a partnership we’d like to continue with.
